Solving Tower Block Energy Challenges: Future Now Empowered Simulation Breakthrough

High rise flats have a lot of energy demand and comparative small roofs to collect solar energy. If we are developing a system to provide ultra low cost, green energy we have to design for all and that means tackling the difficult issues. During the early weeks of September 2025, Future Now Empowered (FNE) developed our own PV + battery simulation tools using Python, Google Maps, and AI workflows. These tools revealed a breakthrough method to tackle high-density tower blocks.

While it may seem very “techy” it actually very human, especially for people in council high rises that might be in fuel poverty. As an Innovation and Growth company at heart, Future Now Partners and its Social Enterprise spin out FNE was able to come up with a solution. Now it’s speaking with the experts to validate it and of course getting our first community energy clusters operational so we can test and refine our model.

Key Highlights:

  • Built proprietary simulation tools for PV + battery optimization
  • AI-driven approach to model energy distribution in dense urban areas
  • Identified scalable solution for tower blocks and limited roof space

Reflection:

Developing these tools was a technical challenge, but solving the “small roof, big need” problem is key to making FNE fair and effective for all.
